This is local to me. I would be irate and sad about this if it happened to one of mine.

I wish I had the money to buy it at auction and give him the keys back. It isn't about the money.

So I guess if I steal anything, as long as I do a good job hiding it for a bit, it'll become mine!
This is so damn wrong. I'm surprised the actual owner isn't going crazy.

Hate to play devil's advocate but..... I'm sure they got a nice fat check from the insurance company. The new owner might have bought the car "legally".
Doesn't make sense for the police to get involved and take back the car from the new owner unless he was the one that stole it back in 2001.

That's absolutely disgusting.
I'm off to go and steal a brand new Porsche 911 and throw it in my garage for 13 years, and then it will miraculously be un-stolen and belong to me. It makes sense!

what raises eye brows though is the car has never be re titled. You have 30 days after buying a car to change the title over or apply for a new one.

I started a petition to get action! These people have paid for the theft enough already!

it's a big story today (7/21) on the Lars Larson show....lengthy interview with the rightful owner, the current possessor of the 'cuda, as well as family of the owner. It's a rather interesting show today that I have a very big interest in.
Maybe the show is able to be listened to online. Lars Larson . com
